Falling out of the sky like a comet, my word of the year, cherish landed on my plate like a cupcake. A big beautiful pink frosted cupcake. While I wanted to gobble it up, I knew it was a word that was meant to be savored. Hard to say if I chose it or it chose me.
Cherish is not an onomatopoeia. It may not be ‘woof’ yet it has such a soothing sound to it. Go ahead and read it again, cherish. Now say it out loud, cherish.
See doesn’t it sound heavenly.
Moving forward this year I am learning to cherish more. Cherish people, cherish myself.
Wherever you find yourself remember to cherish the moments and each of the people who walk in, on and around your path.
What are you doing to cherish yourself?
Maybe you need to dust off your tutu for one more round? Or perhaps grab that paint brush from years ago and start creating again?
