Jill Perla grew up in Northeast Massachusetts. She was a creative person but did not truly take her potential in painting to the next level until 2007. When Jill’s father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s he started painting classes as a part of his therapy. Jill joined him and this is when her passion to emote through canvas really began. Because of her dad, Jill picked up a brush, quit her job, and began painting full time. Though her dad has since passed, whenever Jill paints, she feels her dad right there with her.
With her background in business, it was an easy choice to turn her new found passion for art into her sole career path. Jill left a 25-year career in sales and business marketing to become a full-time artist and Perla Art was born.
Climbing the ladder to recognition in the art world is a challenge for any artist. You definitely have an ability to see things that other artists have taken years of classroom experience to develop. That ability is what that holds the most potential for you! I would LOVE to see your artwork in NYC or greater markets someday!
Art touches the soul... art is communication. It reaches out from the canvas and passes through the eyes of the viewer right into his heart where it can leave an imprint of beauty that can make the spirit sing. Thank you for visiting. Jill Perla
